About Avestec
Avestec is a Canadian robotics company developing advanced aerial inspection systems for industrial Non-Destructive Testing. Founded by engineers with deep roots in UAV technology and industrial inspection, we build purpose-built drone platforms that allow operators to reach and test surfaces that were previously inaccessible without human entry.
Our integrated platform — Skyron 2, modular payload arms, and AveSoft — is deployed by leading industrial operators in oil & gas, petrochemical, and maritime sectors worldwide.

Our Journey
From a founding idea in a Canadian engineering lab to...
Research & Prototype Development
Our engineering team completed the first internal R&D phase, producing initial drone prototypes designed specifically for GPS-denied and confined environments. Core navigation and sensor fusion algorithms were developed and refined.

Field Validation Trials
Extensive field trials were conducted across industrial sites throughout Canada, including oil & gas facilities and storage tank infrastructure. The data gathered during this period shaped the architecture of our commercial platform.

SKYRON Platform Launch
The Skyron platform was formally launched — a purpose-built aerial inspection system incorporating LiDAR-SLAM navigation, modular payload architecture, and an integrated ground control suite. Skyron immediately set a new standard for confined-space UAV operations.

Next-Generation Technology
Building on a strong commercial foundation, Avestec advanced its second-generation platform with enhanced inspection capabilities, extended endurance power systems, and deeper integration across the AveSoft data ecosystem.
